Planetary Transits for January 19 – January 25

The first part of this newsletter describes the position of the (Vedic astrology) planets this week. The second part describes the impact of the transit planets for each rising sign.

Note: President-elect Donald Trump is likely to face stress relative to debts, disputes and health issues until Feb. 12th — as Sun (ruling his chart) transits the unfavorable 6th house. He is also likely to encounter delays, setbacks or other serious issues until March 3rd — as Mars transits his unfavorable 8th house.

Last week’s prediction: “President-elect Donald Trump is likely to face stress relative to…disputes…” (Georgia Rep. John Lewis disputes legitimacy of Trump’s election; Trump’s 40% approval rating is lowest of any president-elect in decades; more than 50 Democratic lawmakers are boycotting Donald Trump’s inauguration).

WHERE THE (VEDIC ASTROLOGY) PLANETS ARE THIS WEEK:

Sun transits Capricorn, from 05:15 to 12:22°. Sun is outside the orb of influence of other planets. This is favorable and connects leaders, physicians, administrators and governments with working class persons, the elderly and the poor and needy.

Moon is waning and transits Virgo, Libra, Scorpio and into Sagittarius. Moon, in Scorpio, is debilitated from 4:48 p.m. CST on Jan. 21 until 5:02 a.m. on Jan. 24   Watch your emotional state and avoid volatile persons.

Mars transits out of Aquarius and into Pisces, Jan. 20 at 2:18 a.m. CST. Mars is outside the influence of other planets, but is weak in degrees until Jan. 26. The military, (including “commanders-in-chief”) police, athletes, surgeons, executives and firefighters should get extra rest.  Be patient with property matters.

Mercury transits Sagittarius, from 11:09 to 19:09°.   This connects business and communications with law, banking, religion and education. Mercury moves away from the 5th aspect of Rahu which should be helpful with stocks, business and communications.

Last week’s prediction: “Expect massive swings of the stock market”.  (The stock market went down 175 points over four days and went up 98 points on one day.)

Jupiter transits Virgo, from 28:32 to 28:51°.  Jupiter is under the 8th aspect of Mars until Jan. 24. This connects law, banking, religion and education with fire, police, military, athletes and property matters. Taurus, Virgo and Scorpio rising sign persons, companies and countries should exercise care and patience. Aries, Libra, and Aquarius rising sign persons should also be careful and patient over the next 8 months as Jupiter is transiting their 6th, 12th, and 8th (inauspicious) houses, respectively.

Venus transits Aquarius, from 22:14 to 28:46°.  This connects women and the arts and entertainment with unconventional, imaginative, inventive and humanitarian efforts.

Saturn transits Scorpio, from 29:15 to 29:58°.  Saturn remains in Scorpio through Jan. 25. This can cause adverse effects for Cancer, Virgo and Pisces rising sign persons, companies and countries (including USA) whenever Saturn is within 5° of their rising sign degree or any planet, by aspect or conjunction.

Rahu and Ketu transit Leo and Aquarius, respectively, from 09:54 to 9:50°.  Those persons, companies or countries with 8 – 10° rising signs or with any planet at 8 – 10° in odd signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, or Aquarius) should be careful and patient – and, at all time.

Rahu and Ketu are stationary in the 9-degree range, Jan. 11 to March 17.   This is (absolutely) not ideal for persons, companies or countries with 8 – 10° rising signs or with any planet at 8 – 10° in odd signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, or Aquarius).  These persons should exercise care and patience, and at all time. Get extra rest and meditation, watch your diet, drink plenty of water, exercise in moderation, and avoid stressful situations.

Planetary remedies add protective covering to one’s life: strengthen your functional benefic planets (with color and gemstone therapy and/or the mystical pendant known as the kavach: http://www.planetarysara.com/product/mystical-pendant/) and do “Bhoota and Deva Yagyas” (charities and chants) for the planets causing adverse effects.
