Without fail it seems like every year Christmas time comes and I have no idea what to get anyone! To make the process even harder this year I’m only buying sweatshop free, ethically sourced, and sustainably made gifts. Of course, shopping locally is a great way to find things that are handcrafted and sustainably made, but sometimes you just can’t buy everyone soap again…for the third year in a row…
So to make things a bit easier I found a few companies I’ll be buying from this year. Take a look (unless you’re my family, then don’t!)
Uncommon goods has a little something for everyone; The boyfriend who loves BBQing, the dad who loves golf, the mom who loves jewelry, and even the little brother with a strange passion for decorative socks.
Beer Infused BBQ Sauce $34.95
Taco Socks $10
Karama Collection has beautiful handmade home decor items, apparel, accessories, skin care products, and stationary.
Asymmetrical Scarf $20
Leather Wallet $30
Amani is a fair trade company that is committed to peace and reconciliation for African women.
Shaving Kit $20
Rwandan Coffee $20
Leaf Pillow $36
American Nomad has taken all the hard work out of gift giving, by creating a beautiful one stop shop for ethically made and socially conscious gifts (in all price ranges) for everyone!
Koba Bowl $20
Pom Pom Blanket $135
Bamboo Tapas Plates $18 (set of 2)
I’m obsessed with every single item on every one of these websites (*hint hint* if anyone wants to buy me something for Christmas!)
Happy shopping and remember, the gift of giving feels so much better when everyone involved benefits (you, the person who receives the gift, and the person who made the gift!)
